RUMFORD — Mark and Laurie McKenna of Rumford Point are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Deanna Elise McKenna of Rumford, to Shawn Elliot Bennett of Rumford, son of Lawrence Bennett of Rumford Point and Janice Champagne of Peasleeville, N.Y.
Miss McKenna is a 2004 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She is currently employed at Dirigo Elementary School in RSU 10 and also at the Sunday River Brewing Company.
Mr. Bennett is a 2003 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and is currently operating Bailey’s Outdoor Power of Bethel.
A June wedding is being planned.
