St. Rose Parish Hall in Jay was host to the Cub Scout Pack 599 annual Pinewood Derby event on March 14. Scouts, leaders, parents and spectators packed the hall to watch as 17 scouts competed for trophies. The event stretched over two days with a parent’s race the evening before and a sibling’s race on Saturday. Boy Scout Troop 199 served as race officials and also provided refreshments for all who attended.
