Normand B. Hamel

AUBURN — A funeral Mass honoring the life of Normand B. Hamel was celebrated on Thursday at St. Louis Church, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, after prayers at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Brendan Harnett celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the beginning of the Mass, Mr. Hamel’s wife, Lucienne Hamel and his children, Dan and Terri, draped Mr. Hamel’s casket with the burial pall that commemorates his Baptism into new life. Words of remembrance were then expressed by Mr. Hamel’s daughter, Jane Beaudoin. The first reading was presented by Mr. Hamel’s daughter, Terri Hamel and the second reading was presented by his son, David Hamel. The prayer of the faithful was read by his son, Dan Hamel. The offertory was brought to the altar by his daughters, Connie Pynes and Jane Beaudoin. Pallbearers were John, Josh, Don and Craig Hamel and Robert and Raymond Charest. A reception of fellowship was held at the Chick-A-Dee Restaurant after the committal services at the cemetery.
