Charlotte ‘Charlene’ Allen

1941 – 2010

RUMFORD – Charlotte “Charlene” Allen, 69, died unexpectedly Saturday March 27 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. She was a resident of Spruce St. in Rumford.

Born in Rumford on March 14, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Edmund and Mary Elizabeth (Fitzmorris) Bernard. She attended Mexico schools. She loved to shop, play cribbage and attend yard sales.

She was married in Rumford to the late Arthur Turbide and then was married to the late William Allen.

Survivors include two daughters; Shelley Thomas and her husband, Jim, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Victoria Clark and her husband, Ralph, of Rumford; three sons; Timothy Turbide and his wife, Willobelle, of Manning, S.C., Maurice Turbide and his wife, Samantha, of Auburn, and Shawn A. Turbide and his wife, Mary, of Biddeford; her stepfather, Maurice Collette, of Rumford; grandchildren, Nichole Thomas, Amber Turbide, Donald Turbide, Christian Turbide, Taylor Turbide, Nathan Turbide, great-grandchildren; Cainan Thomas, Isabella Thomas, Alexander Thomas, Kendall Thomas, a sister, Pauline “Poppy” Esposito, brothers; Rene Bernard, Thomas Bernard, Steven Bernard.
