Board: Sabattus Selectmen

Met: Tuesday night

Changes to Martin’s Point

Issue: The point on Sabattus Pond has been limited to residents, which limits its ability to go for state grants and other funds for repairs.

The scoop: Selectmen held a public hearing to both open it up to nonresidents and change language in the ordinance so that going forward, revisions have to be made at town meeting, not simply by the board.

Up next: Those changes will go before residents as a single question on the warrant at town meeting June 5.

Odds and ends

Issue: Complaints called in to the town office on issues like lake conditions will now be kept in a log.

Issue: Some of the posted road signs in town have started to come down.
