SOUTH PARIS — The Deering Memorial United Methodist Church will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 24,  at the church, corner of Church and Main streets.

Karaoke event

NORWAY — A karaoke and dance night will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at American Legion Post 82. Music will be provided by The Old Crows. Food will be available. The cost is $6.

Spring sale

OXFORD — The Seventh Day Adventist Church will hold a spring sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 25, at the church on Fore Street. There will be handmade afghans and a bake sale. Proceeds will benefit a cancer patient.

Missions conference

OTISFIELD — The Spurrs Corner Church, 1006 Route 121, will conduct its annual Missions Conference Thursday to Sunday, April 22 through 25. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Bouneouy Kes from Cambodia. Kes is a survivor of the Khmer Rouge regime and will speak about some of his experiences during that time as well as the work he is now doing in his native land.

The conference includes a free community supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at the church, as well as the regular Sunday service at 10 a.m. April 25. For more information, call the church office at 627-4886.

Basket bingo

WEST PARIS — The West Paris Friends of the Library will sponsor Longaberger Basket Bingo on Sunday, April 25, at the Locke Mills American Legion Hal. Doors will open at noon with playing at 2 p.m.

There will be raffles, a Chinese auction and door prizes. All proceeds will benefit the West Paris Library.

Texas hold’em

NORWAY — A Texas hold’em tournament to benefit Responsible Pet Care will be held on Saturday, May 8, at Charlie’s Entertainment Center, 246 Main St. The entry fee is $55. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and the tournament will run from 1 to 5 p.m.
