Members of the Lewiston and Auburn fire departments and The Central Maine Marine Corps League were present to honor Louis. After the service, the funeral procession drove to the Lewiston Central Fire Station and stoped for a minute, as all the fire vehicles were outside with their lights flashing and the entire on duty crew standing at attention, saluting Louis as a retired firefighter. A reception celebrating Louis’ life was held at The Fortin Funeral Home’s “Celebration of Life Room.” Pallbearers were Jim Martel, Steve Auclair, Rick Hart, Derek Schenk, Gregg Vincent and Norm Vincent.
