LEWISTON — In celebration of National Youth Week for Credit Unions, Community Credit Union is offering free financial workshops for youths up to age 17 on April 24 at the Rollerdrome, 12 Riverside Drive, Auburn. The workshops are presented in the form of games and activities and offered at no cost.
The morning will start with a roller skating party from 10 to 11 a.m. Following that, a pizza party will be held for those attending the financial workshops, which will run from 11 a.m. to noon. The workshop topics will vary with different age groups. Ages 4 to 9: Recognizing Money; ages 10 to14: Understanding Your Checkbook; Ages 15 to 17: Budgeting.
