DIXFIELD — A fundraiser for Brittany Riley will be held from 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at the Mountain View Campground. Riley, 20, lives in Standish and a large cancerous tumor was found on her sacrum bone during a recent MRI. The tumor is causing her a lot of pain and due to loss of mobility, she is unable to work at her job at Maid For You.

Bob and Theresa (Derouches) Riley and Heidi and Chris Harrington are the parents of Riley. Bob works at MT Pockets LLC, in Dixfield and Theresa works at Rumford Community Home. Bob Riley is also a volunteer fireman in Dixfield. He lives in Rumford.

Brittany loves spending time with her family and friends. She is a very upbeat person and with support, she has kept a positive attitude. Her treatment will be in Boston, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and at Massachusetts General Hospital.

The fundraiser will have activities for all age groups. Funds raised will help with the family’s expenses during the treatment.

There will be raffles and other activities throughout the day. A spaghetti dinner will be held in the evening followed by a family dance.

Volunteers will also be needed to set up and clean up at the fundraiser.

Admission to the event will be donations of empty cans and bottles.
