Day of prayer
RUMFORD — A gathering will take place on Thursday, May 6, to observe the National Day of Prayer. People of all faiths are invited to to pray for the nation from 12:20 to 12:40 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park.
Those who come will form a circle of prayer at the park and anyone who desires can participate in prayer. It has become an annual observance in the community which happens concurrently with many other planned activities in communities all over the country. For more information, call 364-8712.
Spaghetti dinner
DIXFIELD — A spaghetti dinner will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 7, at Dirigo Middle School. The cost is $5 each plate. There will also be a Chinese auction. The event is a fundraiser for the school. For more information, call 562-7552.
Legion baseball
DIXFIELD — Dixfield Legion Baseball, old SAD 21 towns, invites baseball players that would be interested in playing summer baseball from June 17 to July 24, to sign up by Saturday, May 15. The legion team is for players age 15 to 19.
