Congressman Michael Michaud, D-Maine, toured Rumford Hospital’s new John H. Welsh Building Monday afternoon. He has been a supporter of the hospital and was able to secure funding for the required infrastructure needed before the new $5.1 million wing was built. He also helped get start-up money for Community Dental, located in downtown Rumford. The hospital’s new wing includes patient rooms, ICU, surgery and the birthing center.
