FARMINGTON — Julianna Acheson’s Anthropology 101 class at the University of Maine at Farmington will host a benefit dance for Haitian victims. The dance will be held from 6 to 8:30 pm. Friday, May 7, at UMF, in the Olsen Student Center, lower level (The Landing).

The event is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5 for adults and $2 for children. The proceeds will go to UNICEF—The Tap Project, which provides clean drinking water for victims of the Jan. 12 earthquake.

T-Shirts, jewelry and baked goods will be sold during the event. There will also be a 50/50 raffle as well as a prize raffle. Beverages will be provided.
