CANAAN — Jeanne A. (Martineau) Deane, 56, of Canaan, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 1.

She was born Aug. 29, 1953, in Lewiston, a daughter of Norman J. And Blanche M. (Legendre) Martineau. She graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of 1971. She married Thomas E. Deane, Dec. 3, 1993, in Canaan and has worked at Arrow Hart in Lewiston, Food Town in Auburn, Shaw’s in Bangor and Edward Systems-GE now UTC Fire and Security. She was a wonderful and dedicated mother.

She was a member of the Central Maine Trail Blazers and Big Indian ATV Club. She was a member of the Holy Cross Church.

She was a devoted mom and loved spending time with her family, playing cards, ATV riding, gardening, kayaking, music, dancing, hiking and she loved nature.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Deane and his son, Daniel J. Deane and his wife, Heather and their three children, Joshua, Jared and Jenna, which are the grandchildren; her mother, Blanche M. (Legendre) Martineau and companion, Normand N. Leblanc; three sisters, Susan Turmenne and her husband, Donald, of Lewiston, Nancy Morin and her husband, Barry, of Lewiston and Pauline Boilard and her companion, Philip Giorgetti, of Lewiston; a brother Roland J. Martineau and companion, Patricia Kottman, of Sabattus; two nieces, Belinda J. Pare´and her husband, Scott, of Greene and Katherine A. Boilard of Lewiston; two nephews, Michael R. Washburn of Minot and Daniel R. Boilard Jr. of Lewiston; and two great-nephews, Adam and Aaron Pare´of Greene.

She was predeceased by her beloved son, Troy Lavoie; and her father, Norman J. Martineau.
