DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am an avid fan of your column, and I read it everyday. Does anyone remember a song in the 1970s called “Don’t Mess With My Too-Too,” and what year was it? Could you please print the words to it for me? Thank you. — No Name via e-mail

ANSWER: Do you possibly mean a Fats Domino song called “Don’t Mess With My Toot-Toot?” Sun Spots couldn’t find either Too-Too or Tutu. Here are the lyrics for Toot-Toot:

“Don’t mess with my toot toot

Don’t mess with my toot toot

Now you could have the other woman

But don’t mess with my toot toot

Well, she was born in a basement

The doctor slap her behind

He said, ‘You’re gonna be special

A-you gonna be fine’

A-you can look as much

But if you much as touch

You’re gonna have yourself a case

I’m gonna break your face

So don’t mess with my toot toot

Don’t mess with my toot toot

Now, you could have the other woman

But don’t mess with my toot toot

Don’t mess with my toot toot

Don’t mess with my toot toot

Now, you could have the other woman

But don’t mess with my toot toot

When she was born in a basement

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I noticed your reply to someone regarding the shingles vaccine. You probably have heard from many others about this but just in case, please note that someone with shingles cannot pass along shingles to another person, but a person with shingles can be contagious for chicken pox. Christmas 2008 I had shingles and warned everyone I was visiting that I could “gift” them with chicken pox but not shingles. A friend recovering from heart bypass surgery either thought he had had chicken pox or he wouldn’t catch it from me. He did. Luckily, he suffered no ill effects.

I have had two bouts of shingles. One time the outbreak was extremely close to one of my eyes. Luckily I went to the doctor in time and avoided eye damage. It can cause blindness. Medicare and Part D plans should cover this vaccine. I paid for my vaccine and have recommended the vaccine to others. I never want to have another experience.

Thank you. — Margo L. Fraser, Lewiston

ANSWER: Sun Spots corrected her mistake in a subsequent column, but thought that letting people know the risks again worthwhile. Thanks for writing.
