WINTHROP — The Kennebec Land Trust will sponsor the following events in May.
Vaughan Woods Work Day: Saturday, May 15, from 9 to 11 a.m.; rain date, Sunday, May 16. Participants should meet at Litchfield Road parking area. Tools needed are small shovels, hand clippers and gloves. For more information, contact Hank Tyler at 622-7379 or tylerpub@aol.com
Bird Walk: Saturday, May 22, from 7 to 9 a.m., with birding expert David Ladd. Participants will meet at the Vassalboro Wildlife Habitat, Webber Pond Road. It will be close to peak migration, with many of the early birds beginning to set up territories and the later birds still passing through.
