LEWISTON — The Travelodge at 1243 Lisbon St. will close Monday for renovations that will last between one and two months, motel manager Kenny Rao said.
“If they get done with the renovations, they are going to open it earlier,” he said.
The establishment is also changing hands, but will remain a Travelodge, Rao said Thursday.
“I’m not certain who’s buying it,” he said. “They are like family people who are buying it, the (current) owner’s family.”
According to Lewiston’s city assessor records, the current owner is Akshar Inc. with a listed address in Wethersfield, Conn.
As of Thursday, there were several tax liens against the property, according to records from the Androscoggin County Registrar of Deeds.
