Livermore Falls public works employees Warren Smith, left, and Rodney Lake, operate equipment Thursday to prepare a site for a cement pad and wall to be poured for two compactors and containers at the waste transfer station. The town is going to single-stream recycling and trash compacting as of July 1. Bids for the pad are due by Friday, foreman Bill Nichols said. The compactors are expected to arrive the first week of June, he said.
