FARMINGTON — A local man faces a charge of failure to provide information at an accident after police investigated a hit and run on Monday on the Lucy Knowles Road.
Police charged Kenneth Harnden, 63, after identifying him as the driver of a blue car that knocked down a juvenile bicyclist as he made a turn from Whittier Road on to Lucy Knowles Road, said Farmington officer Kim Bates. Police responded to a call that the car had hit the bicyclist and drove off, she said.
The juvenile received scratches and minor injuries but refused medical treatment after the 3:45 p.m. accident, Bates said.
The accident is still under investigation and Bates was unable to provide more information.
