AUBURN – Dillingham and Son defeated Hammond Lumber in a well-played Auburn Suburban Little League minor division baseball game.

Boden Dock and Tristan Stevens led Dillingham with four hits apiece. Storm Jipson added three hits, including a triple, and Giles Paradie cleared the bases with a double.

Ian Frumiento and Mack Sampson scored runs for Hammond Lumber, as did Jared and Jacob Schoefield. The Schofields also were outstanding in the field.

South Lewiston/New Auburn

LEWISTON – Gendron’s Mobil extended its South Lewiston/New Auburn Little League major division baseball winning streak to three games with a 8-4 victory over Dube Gravel.

Nate Albert was the winning pitcher, striking out 13. Jake Tiner nailed down the save. Isaac Dube made a game-saving catch in the bottom of the sixth to shut down Dube’s last-ditch rally. Dube also drove in two runs for Gendron’s.

Albert extended his hit streak to five games with a bases-clearing triple for Gendron’s. Alex Porter pitched two great innings to keep the game within reach for Dube. McKale Smart continued his three-game hit streak and Nicholas Belanger used his keen eye to get on base twice and score both times.

Gendron’s has a first-place showdown with Aroostook Fence on Friday.

Hammond Lumber kept its win streak alive with a win over Poisson’s, 14-4.

Ryan Bell pitched solid for Hammond. Noah Jalbert and Brent Jones each knocked an inside-the-park home run for Hammond. Jones finished the night with three runs scored and two stolen bases. Jalbert ended 2-for-2 with four RBIs and a pair of steals. Garret Poussard also added two hits and scored a pair. Poisson’s tried to rally late, but Bell closed the door with the bases loaded to end the game.
