BRIDGTON — Girl Scouts of Maine will host open house events at their summer resident camps to give girls and their families an opportunity to see for themselves what camp is all about.

Camp Pondicherry in Bridgton will be open for visitors from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 30.

Families visiting a camp will be able to take a walking tour of the grounds, meet some of the camp staff and learn about Girl Scouts of Maine’s traditional, skills-building camp programs as well as specialty camp offerings.

“Our programs are designed to meet the age, ability and interest of every girl and our staff is committed to providing each camper with a safe place to live, work and play while encouraging values, independence and respect for the environment,” said Anne Randall, Girl Scouts of Maine camping services director. “We welcome Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scouts alike and sincerely believe that every girl can benefit from the outdoor camping experience.”

For driving directions, camp program descriptions, financial aid information and registration forms, visit the Girl Scouts of Maine website at www.girlscoutsofmaine.org or call 1-888-922-4763.
