AUBURN – J.F.M./Buddy T’s earned a pair of Auburn Rec softball wins in recent action.

Perry Morneau, Joey Scammon, Tommy Juray Jr. and Matt Morneau lashed out three hits apiece in a 14-8 victory over Kung Pow at Tribou Field. Jim Small was the winning pitcher.

Juray jolted three hits in an 8-1 rout of Team Argo/Brunswick Steel. Larry Gowell added a pair of hits with two RBIs. Shawn Sturgis had a base-clearing homer. Small pitched an excellent game for the win. 

NAPA nudges Gamers

NAPA Auto Parts took down the Gamers, 12-7, in an Auburn Rec clash at Pettengill Park.

The big bats came alive for NAPA, with the first six batters in the lineup going an astonishing 21-for-23. Kevin Pontbriand and brothers Anthony Clark and Demetrius Starks led the way, all going 4-for-4. Pontbriand chimed in with two doubles, three runs and an RBI. Clark crossed the plate three times and drove in a pair. Starks added an RBI to his perfect night at the plate.

Dave Pontbriand helped out going 3-for-3 with two doubles, a walk, three RBIs and two runs scored. Kasey Clark and Clay Phillips each went 3-for-4 to round out the onslaught. Clark clouted a double and chalked up three RBIs and two runs scored. Phillips knocked home two runs.
