The Oxford Hills Chapter of AARP in South Paris gathered several boxes of useful and fun items to donate to the Senior Companion Program recently. Senior Companions used the items to put individualized May Bags together for each of their clients. Senior Companions spend 15 to 20 hours a week doing friendly visiting with homebound elderly clients. The program has been sponsored by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension for more than 30 years. Pictured in front, from left, are Albert Roberge, Shirley Libby, Sue Murphy, Marie Dustin, Denise Lacasse, June Marston; back, Pat Chabot, Connie Eldridge and Dale Polland. For more information about the program, contact Anna Saar at 743-6329 or 1-800-287-1482. The AARP Chapter meets at 1 p.m. on the second Monday at the First Congregational Church on East Main Street in South Paris. For more information, contact Jane Kimball at 583-2576.
