No stranger to big matches, Cloutier stayed true to seed this week and advanced to the state singles semifinal round.
Toni Weber, Mountain Valley
German exchange student had a great run at the singles tourney, reaching the quarterfinals where he fell to the No. 2 seed.
Softball
Heather Clavet, Buckfield pitcher
Clavet no-hit Valley in the first game of a doubleheader last weekend. Clavet struck out seven and produced two hits in the 19-0 win. She followed that up with a two-hit shutout of Rangeley. She struck out 12 batters in the 14-0 win.
Baseball
Tim Levesque and Cody Plourde, Oak Hill
Levesque and Plourde came up big in crucial wins to the Raiders’ playoff push. Levesque struck out 15 and walked one in a one-hit shutout over Gardiner. Plourde belted a game-winning two-run heme run in the bottom of the seventh inning of a 10-9 win over Leavitt.
Track and field
Morgan Reeves, Lisbon
Won the long jump, triple jump and pole vault, boosting the Greyhounds to their fifth straight MVC championship.
Emily Chase, Dirigo
Won both hurdle events at the MVC championship, including a new conference meet record on the 100-meter hurdles. Chase also finished second in the 100-meter dash.
Lacrosse
Matt Adams, St. Dom’s
Adams netted seven goals for St. Dom’s as the Saints took another step toward an unbeaten regular season.
Ayla Allen, Mtn. Valley
The super-sophomore had 17 goals in her final two games of the week, both Falcon wins.
