I am writing in support of the honorable John Patrick of Rumford. He is running for Maine State Senate District 14.

He and I were colleagues in the House of Representatives during the 2008 session. The passion, strength and leadership he has shown me, his district, and the people of Maine go without saying.

He has fought for working families, road investments, veteran services and ethics reform.

He served on the Labor Committee and chaired the Legal and Veterans Affairs Committee during his third and fourth terms. He was chairman of the Maine Citizen Trade Policy Commission from 2004-08 and is currently a public member of the commission.

He has been, and continues to be, very active in his community. With his knowledge and legislative experience, he will continue to be a huge asset to Western Maine.

I hope voters will support John Patrick on June 8.
