LEWISTON — Beth Gaudet, executive director of the Lewiston Education Fund, has announced three new members have been elected to the board.
James Belleau, member of the law firm Skelton, Taintor and Abbott; Christine Bosse, vice president retail manager of Bangor Savings Bank, Lewiston; and Mark Jumper, sales manager of the VacShack in Lewiston and president of the Montello School PTO.
They will begin a three-year term on June 1. Like other board members, their commitment to and personal passion for student aspirations and education is well-known. Their appointment demonstrates the board’s commitment to expand educational opportunities, foster creativity and enhance academic excellence in Lewiston’s public schools.
In addition to the new board members, the fund has recently appointed Amie Parker, employment manager at Bates College, as president, with Joan Macri, associate director, A College for Me Androscoggin, as vice president.
Other board members include Darlene Levesque, White Rock Distilleries; Paul Landry, Fishbones American Grill; Joseph Poirier, Poirier Associates; Peter Geiger, Geiger Company; Leon Levesque, Lewiston superintendent; and Rep. Margaret Rotundo.
