LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday for Lorraine G. Demers at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, following prayers at the Fortin Group Funeral Home. The Rev. Nathan March officiated and recited committal prayers at Saint Peter’s Cemetery. A delegation from the staff of John F. Murphy Homes was present at the church and the cemetery. Bearers were Ricky Cyr, Corey Stetson, Leo Demers, Joseph Albert, Arthur McDougall and Norman Lizotte. A reception followed at John F. Murphy Homes on Center Street in Auburn.
