LEWISTON — Patricia A. Damboise, 64, of Augusta, a loving wife, mother, sister and friend, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 1, at the home of her son following a battle with cancer. Her devoted family was by her side.
She was born in Augusta on March 13, 1946, the daughter of the late Ronald E. and Vivian A. Toulouse Ouellette.
She attended St. Augustine School, Cony High School (Class of 1964) and Mid-State College. After working as a cosmetologist, she managed the Water Street office of Dr. Donald Carbonneau, her boss and dear friend, from where she ultimately retired after 22 years. Though brief, she enjoyed her retirement traveling the United States by motor home, where she and her husband met many wonderful people experiencing the same dream.
She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Conrad Damboise; a son, Kenneth J. Albert III and his wife, Deana, and their children, Kathryn and Nathan, of Lewiston; two daughters, Laura L. Veilleux and her children, Lindsey and Zachary, of Augusta and Heather L. Sanderson and her children, Tyler and Sophia, of McKinney, Texas; two step-sons, Rev. Aaron Damboise of Caribou and Chuck Damboise and his wife, Emily, of Raeford, N.C.; a step-daughter, April Sookma and her husband, Attapol, and their children, Atticus and Amiel, of Exeter Township, Penn.; a sister, Lynda Dostie and her husband, Patrick, of Augusta; two brothers, Jerry Ouellette and his wife, Elizabeth, of Portland, Ore., and Mark Ouellette and his wife, Susan, of Sanford; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and very dear friends.
She was predeceased by an infant daughter in 1971.
