Law agencies search for prisoner in Maine

NOBLEBORO, Maine (AP) — Law enforcement officials in Maine are on the lookout for a federal prisoner who disappeared from a halfway house.

The U.S. Marshals Service is being assisted by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and local police agencies in its search for 60-year-old Wayne Collamore. Police call Collamore a “career criminal” who is considered dangerous.

Officials say Collamore left a halfway house in Portland last Friday and rented a car, but never returned it.

Police say their search is focusing in Lincoln County along Maine’s midcoast region, where Collamore was spotted on Thursday.
