WALES — The Wales Central School PTSA will host a community barbecue at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at the school.

Breastfeeding
AUBURN — Expectant women and breastfeeding mothers are all invited to the La Leche League meeting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, at 102 Bennett Ave. Babies are welcome.
The discussion, “Great Beginnings: Establishing and Maintaining Breastfeeding,” will focus on preparing to nurse baby at birth, and adjusting to babies’ changing needs as a family. Lions fundraiser
AUBURN — The Lewiston-Auburn Night Lions Club will host a family portrait session from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 6, at the VFW hall, 588 Minot Ave. Cost is $10 each sheet.

New support group
LEWISTON — A new support group for people living with depression or bipolar disorder will meet at 9:30 a.m. every Monday, beginning June 7. Meetings will be held at The B Street Community Center on the corner of Bates and Birch streets, in the upstairs conference room.
The meetings will be confidential and led by people who are experiencing the same mental health issues. Groups are open to anyone who is diagnosed with a mood disorder, has a family member or friend who is diagnosed or who thinks they might have depression or bipolar disorder.

Lakeside chapter
WALES — Members of Lakeside Chapter 60 will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at the Grange/Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Road, to honor fathers and Masons.
The secretary will report on the Garden of Memories Session of Grand Chapter held on May 16 to 19, the awards received and the installation of the new Grand Officers.
Ladies will wear colored gowns and gentlemen will wear dark suits or tuxes. Light refreshments will be provided by Arlene and Jordan. All members of the Order are welcome.
