PARIS – The Bessey Motors American Legion Baseball Team will hold its first tryout at 5 p.m. Monday, June 7 at the Gouin Athletic Complex. Eligibility requires players not to turn the age of 20 during this calendar year of 2010. Players from Oxford Hills High School, Fryeburg Academy and Lake Region High School are welcome to try out.

Blue Devil basketball camp announced

LEWISTON – The Blue Devil Youth Co-ed Basketball Camp will be held at the Lewiston High School gym from June 14 to July 16 for students in grades two to eight.

Lewiston High School girls’ basketball coach Mike McGraw and boys’ basketball coach Tim Farrar will teach basic fundamentals and advanced skills and mechanics. Camp teams also will play against area teams.

Camp times Monday thru Thursday are: Grades two to four, 12:30-1:30 p.m.; five and six, 1:30-2:30 p.m.; and seven and eight, 2:30-4 p.m.

Cost of the camp is $20 per week or $80 for the summer, with family discounts available. Each player will receive a camp t-shirt.
