I am writing to show my support for Walter Morrissette Hill, candidate for the Androscoggin County Commission.

He is a long-time local Democratic Party activist, former party chairman for Lewiston and a tireless fighter for the causes he believes in.

For too long now, the employees of the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department have been working without a contract. It is wrong to ask these people to place themselves in harm’s way on a daily basis without giving them the contract and job security they deserve. The County Commission, as it stands now, has proven itself unable or unwilling to finish the job.

A vote for Walter Morrissette Hill is a vote to change that dynamic. His energy, enthusiasm and commitment to bedrock Democratic values is needed to move our county forward.
