NEW GLOUCESTER — A story on Page B1 of the City edition on Tuesday, June 1, should have reported that World War II veteran Ray Sylvester landed as part of Gen. George Patton’s Third Army and then served with the First and Ninth Armies as part of the 86th Chemical Mortar Battalion. It was a reporting error.
