LEWISTON — Philip T. Perreault, 58, of River Rd., died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 3, at his home following a lingering illness.

He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 16, 1952, the son of Clarence and Gilberte (Carrier) Perreault. He was a graduate of St. Dominic’s High School class of 1970. He later attended UMF, graduating in 1975, where he earned his B.S. in education, with a dual degree in Elementary and special education. In 1981, he received his masters in education at USM.

He worked as an instructor in developmental studies at CMCC for 20 years, retiring due to ill health.

He was a true lover of dogs, having many throughout his lifetime.

He is survived by his best buddy, Randy Thompson of Lewiston; his sisters, Claire Capraro and husband, Steve, of N.H. and Marie Abisalih and husband, Dave, of Auburn; his former wife, Rita Cloutier Perreault, of Lewiston and children Rebecca, Alicia and Alex; and by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a niece, Sarah.

Philip’s last thought to people: “If you need him, he is upstairs.”
