AUBURN – The East Auburn men’s club will dedicate a memorial stone to Glen Burgess at on Sunday at Tribou Field. Burgess’ likeness will be pictured on the stone, which commemorates his service and dedication to the sports programs in East Auburn.

Burgess, also the former community sports editor at the Sun Journal, was a dedicated member of the club, supporting its volleyball, horseshoes, softball, and basketball programs.

The community of East Auburn invites family, friends and competitors to participate in this tribute to Glen. A cookout will follow the ceremony.

Outlaws 14, Marauders 5

AUBURN – James Bixby went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and notched a pair of strikeouts on the mound to power Outlaws past Marauders, 14-5, in Auburn rec softball.

Wright went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs for Outlaws. Duchette cranked an inside-the-park home run as one of his two hits. Jackson also homered, while Halacy had a triple and a double. Roy triple twice and drove in a run, while Lovely went 2-for-3 and knocked in three.
