HALLOWELL — Auditions for Gaslight’s third full production of the year, “Born Yesterday,” by Garson Kanin, will be held at 6:30 p.m. June 20 and 22 at Hallowell City Hall.

Mike Clements and Alicia Ouelette will direct the show produced by Linda Duarte.

Parts are available for 12 men and 4 women.

Performance dates are Sept. 3-5 and Sept. 9-11 at Hallowell City Hall.

No advance preparation is necessary; auditions will be cold readings from the script.

“Born Yesterday”revolves around wealthy junkman Harry Brock who comes to Washington, D.C., to make some deals. He hires journalist Paul Verrall to tutor his chorus-girl mistress, Billie, in the ways of the nation’s capital. Billie winds up teaching both Brock and Verrall as much as she learns in this classic satire.
