AUBURN — Evelyn B. Rose, 91, of Auburn, died Monday, June 7, at Hospice House of Androscoggin.
She was born in Greene on July, 10, 1918, the youngest of 12 children, to the late Melen and Elizabeth (Howe) Bubier. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Leavitt Institute, class of 1937.
In 1940, she married Charles O. Rose and he predeceased her on June 28, 1990, after 50 years of marriage. She was a homemaker raising two children, she enjoyed family and friends, birds and flowers. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Auburn, First Auburn Senior Citizens and Robin Dow Senior Citizens.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Poliquin of Auburn; one son, Donald Rose and his wife Esther of Clovis, New Mexico; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a pet cat, “Rangeley”.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her five sisters and six brothers.
