NEW GLOUCESTER — Voters elected incumbent Steven Libby and newcomer Joshua McHenry on Tuesday to serve three-year terms on the Board of Selectmen.
In a four-way race for two positions, the tallies were: Steven Libby, 735; Joshua McHenry, 727; Jean Couturier, 491 votes; and incumbent Pamela Slye, 470.
This marks the fifth term for Libby, who has been the chairman of the five-member board.
Voters in Gray and New Gloucester overwhelmingly approved the SAD 15 budget by a vote of 2,344–852. Voters also agreed to continue the budget validation referendum process for three more years by the same ratio.
There was no contest for two school board slots in New Gloucester. Incumbent Alan Rich garnered 1,032 votes for a third term. Micah Malloy, a newcomer, earned 943 votes.
