JAY – Keith Purington Newhall, 73, of Jay passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Monday morning, June 7.

 He was born May 7, 1937, in Lewiston, the only child of William A. and Elsie Marie (Purington) Newhall. He was a graduate of Jay High School, Class of ’55, and served from 1959 to 1964 in the United States Air Force. He had a 27-year career with TWA at LAX and returned to his beloved Maine in 1992.

He leaves his wife, Marlene Woodbury Newhall of North Jay; his children, Jean Hockett of Cypress, Calif., Tony Newhall and his wife, Lynda, of Wilton, David Newhall and Caryn Newhall and her husband, Don, all of Cypress, Calif.; three grandsons, Brian, Chad and Cameron; five granddaughters, Casey, Amy, Amanda, Chelsea and Krystle; one great-grandson, Cody; and two great-granddaughters, Caitlin and McKenzie.

 He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Dean; and his first wife, Georgia.
