Central Maine Federal Credit Union of Lewiston recently donated $500 to SeniorsPlus for its Meals on Wheels service. Roger Ouellette, nutrition manager for SeniorsPlus, accepted the donation from Vicki L. Stuart, CEO of Central Maine FCU. SeniorsPlus’ goal is to maintain the independence, dignity and quality of life of older adults by working to remove barriers and provide services in a reliable and coordinated manner. The private, nonprofit organization’s programs depend on volunteers to deliver meals to shut-ins and seniors recovering at home, and give rides to seniors who can’t drive to medical appointments, errands and other needs throughout Lewiston, Auburn, Lisbon, Sabattus, Greene and Livermore Falls.
