FREEMAN TOWNSHIP – A victim of a burglary and theft is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to apprehension and prosecution of the person or persons responsible, Franklin County Sheriff Lt. Niles Yeaton said Thursday.

Cpl. Nathan Bean has been investigating the burglary and theft of property from a camper in the Stubb’s Meadow area of the township, off West Freeman Road, Yeaton said.

The incident was reported May 18.

Reported stolen was a water tank, two L.L. Bean fly fishing reels and an L.L. Bean Rapid River Vest Pack, he said.

The vest had fishing flies and equipment in and on it, he said.

The total estimated value of the property stolen is approximately $950, he said.

There was extensive damage done to the interior of the camper, Yeaton said.
