HARTFORD — Marshall Grant Keene, 79, of Hartford, died at his residence on June 10, with his family at his side.
He was born in Lewiston on June 23, 1930, the son of Josiah Grant Keene and Hazel (DeCosta) Keene, and was educated in local schools. He had worked most of his life as a mechanic and truck driver. He loved working on cars and there was very little he could not fix. He enjoyed motorcycles and rode a Harley Davidson cycle until he was 74, and was a life member of the NRA.
He is survived by his wife, Lida (Bryant) Keene of Hartford; four sons, Donald Keene and his wife, Linda, of North Jay, Russell Keene and his wife, Paula, of Jayess, Miss., Donald St. Laurent and his wife, Rebecca, of Canton, and Paul St. Laurent and his wife, Evelyn, of Hartford; two daughters, Maryann Hawkins and her husband, Bert, of Hartford and Lynda White and her husband, Duane, of Livermore; 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and friends.
