I recently witnessed a young woman joy riding on the hood of a vehicle. When did riding outside of a vehicle become an accepted behavior? Why would we put our youth in the path of danger? Is it not state of Maine law that people wear seat belts when a vehicle is in motion?

Is it responsible to allow that type of action on a local level, or should it be addressed at the county level?

Common sense is a true attribute that should be exercised in all avenues of life.
