Open house
DURHAM — The Durham Historical Society will open the Union Church/Old Town Hall to the public from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 19. The church is located on Royalsborough Road, Route 136. Artifacts and historical collections will be on display.
Bottle drive
AUBURN — The Auburn Ski Association will hold a bottle drive from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 19. Skiers and snowboarders will collect bottles or they can be dropped off at Florian’s Market on Main Street.
The ski association is a nonprofit organization supporting the Edward Little High School alpine and Nordic ski teams, the Auburn Middle School alpine ski team, the SNOWMAD team and the Lost Valley Race Club. The group also provides scholarships and purchases equipment for area teams and clubs.

Council meeting
GRAY — The Threshold To Maine Resource Conservation and Development Area will have a council meeting for council members, sponsors and the general public from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, June 21, at Cole Farms Restaurant, Route 100.

Dog walk
LEWISTON — The Department of Radiation Therapy at Central Maine Medical Center has formed a team to participate in the Dempsey Challenge. To raise funds, the team, Peace Love Photons, will host a dog walk, Doggies for Dempsey, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 19, at the Simard-Payne Memorial Park. The rain date will be June 20.
The event will include door prizes, freebies, raffles, bake sale, crafts and a photographer. Entry fee is $5 each person/dog pair. Each dog must be accompanied by at least one human. LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on June 14 were as follows: strata A, first, Patricia and Mike Quinn; second, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; third, Dick Allen and Richard Balian; fourth, Lue Bilodeau and Les Buzzell.
Strata B, first, Connie and Ron Reynolds; second, Hazel Glazier and Marta Clements; third, Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird; strata C, first, Cynthia and Bill Clifford.
