SARASOTA, FLA.  — Louis J. Brousseau, Jr., 77, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Lewiston, died Feb. 28,  after a long illness.

Born in Auburn on April 30, 1932, he was the son of the late Louis J. Sr. and Louise L. (Turgeon) Brousseau. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from 1950 to 1953 in the First Calvary Division as a S/SGT.

On July 18 1953 he married the former Doris J. Gauthier at St. Mary’s Church. He worked in the local shoe industry at Knapp Shoe from 1953 to 1975. He then was the owner/operator of Little Joe’s Restaurant and Pub and also Tony’s Sandwiches, until his retirement.

Besides his wife of Sarasota he is survived by his son, Paul, and his wife, Theresa Brousseau, of Lewiston; one sister, Anita Dostie of Lewiston; two grandchildren; a niece, nephews and many cousins.

He was predeceased by a son, Raymond Brousseau; and by one brother, Robert Brousseau.
