AUBURN — Nola J. McAuliffe 71, of Randall Rd. Lewiston, left port on her final cruise on Wednesday June 16, with her family at her side at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
She was born in Lewiston on March 25, 1939, a daughter of the late Joseph and Desneiges (Goulet) Bilodeau. She was educated in local schools and graduated with her masters in social work from Springfield College, Mass. She married the love of her life, Kenneth McAuliffe, on Aug. 9, 1958. She worked for Tri-County Mental Health Services many years, where she touched many lives. She was a member of Holy Cross Church, now Holy Family. She was also a member of Marriage Encounter as zone coordinator and engaged encounter as state coordinator.
She loved to go on her cruises with Ken; together they visited every continent on 32 cruises. She will be missed for her ability to light up a room with her warm heart and her amazing fashion style.
She leaves her husband of 52 years, Kenneth, of Lewiston; two daughters, Lori McAuliffe of Los Angeles, Calif., and Jana McAuliffe of Carthage; two grandchildren, Matthew and Mariel Verolini. both of Los Angeles Calif.; two sisters, Muguette Boutin and her husband, Roland of Lewiston, and Glorianne Travaglini and her husband, Joseph, of Lewiston; and a brother, Angelo Bilodeau, and his wife, Doloros, of Lewiston.
