ARUNDEL — The Arundel Barn Playhouse will present Mel Brooks’ slap-your-knee, show biz comedy “The Producers.”

The play revolves around producers Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, who put on their gloriously offensive production of “Springtime” for Hitler. Max, Leo and company sing and dance their way through the theater’s greatest scam when the show, intended to be a flop, becomes an outrageous financial hit.

What could be more zanier than a chorus of scammed old ladies doing an elaborate tap number with their walkers?

Shows are at 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; 2 p.m. Wednesday; 2 p.m. Friday, July 9; and 8 p.m. Sunday, July 11. Tickets range from $28 to $39. For more information or reservations, call 985-5552 or visit www.arundelbarnplayhouse.com.
