AUBURN — Gwendolyn “Gwen” Bramson, 84, formerly of 455 Webber Ave., Lewiston, died Friday, June 18, at Bolster Heights Nursing Home in Auburn.

Born in Lewiston on Jan. 8, 1926, she was the daughter of John D. and Nettie Singer Bramson. Educated in local schools, she was employed for many years at the Filene’s Department Store in Boston.

A member of the Temple Shalom Synagogue, she was a past president of the Vikings Club, a member of the National Honor Society, and the Junior Hadassah. She loved to play beano, and in her younger years was an avid tennis player and enjoyed summering at Old Orchard Beach with her parents.
