JAY — Alice Burnham nee Alice Catherine Frances D’Onofrio passed peacefully in her sleep this past weekend on June 18, at her home in Jay.
She was born in Italy as Lady Alice, daughter of Duke of Pasterano, Caserta, Italy, Nicola D’Onofrio and Lena D’Abate, and raised in Tampa, Fla.
She is survived by her seven children Sylvia Ouellette and her husband Daniel, David Burnham, Michael Burnham and wife Jan, Susan Hall and husband Peter, Christina Burnham and Chris Bennet, Catherine Burnham and husband Jeff Noel, and Caroline Lienhardt and husband Paul. Alice is also survived by her eight grandchildren Jason Ouellette and wife Anna, Todd Burnham and wife Jennifer, Melissa Burnham, Jasmine Burnham, Tyler Lienhardt, Wolfe Lienhardt, and Elijah Lienhardt and her great grandchildren Emma Burnham, Ginger Burnham, Noah Burnham, Allie Mae Burnham, and Scarlette Rose Burnham. She also leaves behind her overly loving cat, Willy Wonka, who will now reside with her son David.
She was predeceased by her husband Maj. Ruel Dudley Burnham; and an infant son, Ruel Burnham.
