Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills held its first annual plant sale on May 23, at the Norway Town Hall. More than $1,000 was raised by selling donated perennials and house plants. The plants were contributed by board members, neighbors, co-workers and community members. In all, well over 300 plants were collected for the sale. The group immediately decided to make this an annual event, to be held on the weekend prior to Memorial Day. Leftover plants from the sale were taken to Pawsabilities, the thrift shop next door to the shelter, to be sold there. Pictured preparing for the sale are Anne Pastore, left, chairwoman of the event, and Shirley Boyce, president of RPC. For more information, visit the website at www.petfinder.com.
