LEWISTON — For the fifth year in a row, area performers will appear on stage at the Franco-American Heritage Center in a show built upon inspiration.

“Inspired Voices” will feature music, poetry, dance, artwork and individual stories of hope and recovery by and for people whose lives have been touched by mental illness.

The show, which delivers a message of recovery and hope, is a benefit for Tri-County Mental Health Services.

L/A Arts Executive Director Andrew Harris will join fellow Brit and TCMHS Executive Director Chris Copeland on stage as emcee.

Windham resident Catherine Ryder, director of clinical services at TCMHS, is director of the show for the fifth year. She brings together an ensemble of performers from the area whom concertgoers may recognize from the Windham Center Stage Theater or other venues.

Performers in the Inspired Ensemble are music director Nicholas Place, Kerry Dyer, Tony Farides, Miranda Jordan, dancer Juliette Lauzier, Dan Levasseur, Emily Miele, Matthew Ryder, and Pete and Deb Sevee.

“As fabulous as they are, the Inspired Ensemble becomes a mere platform for the really powerful part of the event, which is the sharing of client talents and being a part of their journey to recovery,” said Catherine. “It is a mix of magic and grace.”

“Inspired Voices” will be presented Saturday, June 26. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a catered reception and art exhibit featuring works by children and adults whose lives have been touched by the agency. At 7 p.m. the performance hall will come alive with music, dance, poetry and stories of clients intertwined with music by the ensemble.

Proceeds from the event will help support community mental-health services for children, adults and elders.

Advance tickets are $20, $15 for students and seniors; $25/$20 the night of show. Children 5 and younger will be admitted free. Tickets may be purchased by calling 782-7228. or online at www.laarts.org. For concert highlights or to make a donation online, visit www.tcmhs.org.
